Un dato curioso. En la página de Overheard in New York: the voice of the city pueden encontrarse brillantes listados de trascripciones literales de las conversaciones callejeras. Estos listados se actualizan constantemente. El registro va desde lo hilarante hasta lo desesperadamente patético.

Un ejemplo a medio camino entre los dos es este fragmento, tomado del D Train, y titulado I Don't Get These New Strand Flyers:

Girlfriend: It's just that I give you pristine vagina and you give me used books.
Boyfriend: Your gratitude is staggering.

La literatura, como se sabe, está en todas partes.
